Cardwell Beach Comber

Palm Fringed Beach

cardwell beach comber Cardwell's first jetty was built in 1872 when the town was to be the major port servicing northern Queensland. Today the current jetty is the focal point of town and is a popular vantage point to view dugongs, turtles and other marine and bird life.

The jetty is also a great fishing location and huge fish are often caught, particularly at night on the right tide.
